Traumatic experiences 

Trauma can profoundly affect your mental, emotional, and physical well-being after a shocking or life-threatening event. It's a normal response to an extraordinary situation, often leaving people feeling shocked or in denial. While these reactions may naturally lessen over time, there are moments when additional support becomes essential.

Are the following things recognizable to you?

  • Re-experiencing the traumatic event through flashbacks, intrusive thoughts (and images), or nightmares

  • Physical sensations such as pain, sweating, nausea, or trembling

  • Feeling constantly tense and alert, experiencing high anxiety, irritability, difficulty concentrating or having panic attacks

  • Avoiding feelings or memories of the traumatic event by staying busy

  • Avoid talking about the event or doing anything that reminds you of the trauma

  • Not being able to fully remember the event, due to dissociation (a feeling of disconnection from our thoughts, feelings or memories)

  • feeling physically or emotionally numb

How can therapy help:

It's inevitable that thinking and talking about trauma can bring up difficult emotions and memories. Trauma therapy can help reduce overall stress and promote resolution of the problem. In my practice, I offer specialized therapeutic support to help you process trauma and regain healthy emotional well-being. The integrative approach focuses on providing a safe and supportive environment where you can work on your recovery and resilience.

Integrative traumatherapy 

In the practice, we engage in an integrative way that brings together insights from conventional health psychology with insights from existential, anthroposophic and other holistic approaches. We work with the impact of the trauma on different levels: physical, social, psychological and existential.
